 The Reflex Chair is a chair that looks at sitting from a fresh perspective. At the heart of Reflex is a design philosophy with a focus on Movement, Sustainability & Optimisation. Reflex aims to help those working at home & in offices to break out of their restrictive and solitary working ecosystems. To do this reflex chair removes the parts of the chair that restrict movement, leaving only what is necessary to maintain correct posture. The compliant back plates move with the user enticing movement. Each segment supported by a topology optimised structure. Adapted to create a form that isn’t just nurturing but that also makes a statement. To achieve environmental sustainability Reflex has been designed for servicing & repair, prolonging the use phase. An emphasis has also been put on materials turning single use plastics found in the oceans, upscaling them into a chair built to last a generation.
