FAC20 (Facility 20) is a versatile, deployable unit equipped with a range of facilities to aid the responsible reintroduction of wild camping in the U.K. The facility is designed to have a minimal visual impact, combining the use of an angular form and mirrored panels to reflect light and the environment it is placed in around itself. The basic facilities it provides such as first aid, basic cooking area, toilet / sink area, etc. Aim to reduce litter by eliminating the need for visitors to bring single use items such as disposable BBQs, gas stoves, toilet roll etc. Any single use items that are brought can be disposed of in the waste disposal unit at the rear. The facility has an aluminium structure to keep it lightweight enough to be helicoptered into location and has photovoltaic panels to allow it to self-sustain.
