Heyra: 10% of UK adults suffer from tinnitus. With the rise in people attending music events, tinnitus is also on the rise.

Heyra has set itself the challenge to get more 16-30-year-olds to wear ear plugs while not affecting their enjoyment. The way Heyra has done this is by trying to engage the younger generation through creating hearing protection with a modern twist.

The Heyra ear plugs connect to the user's phone via Bluetooth, this allows the ear plugs to create so many more opportunities. The ear plugs have the option to hear calls that are coming through the user's phone and have the ability take in the sound levels of the venue. The ear plugs achieve this through a built-in microphone and speaker. The decibel intake is all neatly connected to an app that lets the user know how much damage is being caused and how many decibels they have taken in that day, week or month. We feel the Heyra ear plugs have all the right requirements to help prolong good hearing while not stopping the enjoyment of music and nightlife.
