Bristol Community Arts Centre is a new sustainable building located within Castle Park, the central heart of Bristol. Designed with the concept of Adaptive Reuse, this project mainly focuses on repurposing St. Peter’s church for viable new uses and modern functions. It also showcases sustainability by effective strategy for optimizing the operational and commercial performance in its design.

The main attraction of this Arts Centre is the exhibition building which is placed inside the church ruins. There is a viewing platform on the top floor that provides panoramic views of the city harbour and surroundings. A walkway connects the exhibition building with the main building which has a theater and workspaces for community use. The use of localised materials and off-site prefabrication contributes towards the overall environmental strategy of this project, displaying its sustainability.
