History is one of the most important parts of our lives which makes us who we are now. This project focuses on reflecting the history of the site (Castle Park) while having a sustainable approach to the design. One of the main aims of this project is to educate the local community and younger generation about the unfortunate events that occurred in the past (Civil war, Bristol blitz, etc) and the preservation of these historic monuments. The building is a museum, strategically placed next to St peter’s church which is one of the most important buildings and a Grade II listed building on site. It is adjacent to the building to be included as part of the design where visitors can travel into the church through the museum. The church itself is not modified to respect its history. The building also focuses on a weaving façade to replicate a bamboo weaved basket to reflect my own Nepalese culture.
