The main goal for this scheme is to create an ‘eco-hotel’. The Bristol Eco-Hotel is a project dedicated to becoming an influence for alternate sustainable solutions in hospitality architecture. By implementing passive design solutions such as natural ventilation, solar gain in response to sun orientation, and water collection, this building will overcome the current environmentally unresponsive accommodation in the surrounding area. Moreover, this endeavour will deliver regenerative elements by bringing back vegetation and using biophilic design enhancements for the site which is surrounded by artificial/concrete dominated areas.

In addition to tackling carbon footprint impact, the scheme’s inclusion of natural qualities will aid in the process of creating a more socially sustainable environment that tasks in reducing stress and anxiety, for both staff and guests. Regarding the theme of regeneration, my project focuses on reviving the connection with nature, and to bring back a conscious level of biodiversity.
