Connections is a proposal that builds social capital in Lawrence Hill by providing the means for the community to engage in entrepreneurial endeavours, help sustain local economic growth and provide a beacon for community discourse in the wider area.A combined university incubator provides a social business entrepreneurship course, nurturing business minds, with all profits from the businesses created going back into the local community. Within this, an integrated local business incubator creates economic prosperity for the local area and provides the means and guidance to make every local start-up and entrepreneur a success. All contained within one singular form that steps up and over a food market and public route connecting the two levels, while the upper incubator levels step up to respect existing context, creating green terraces that visually trickle down into a new park and public realm, creating a new 'focal centre' for the area.
