The Old Market region of Bristol has seen an increased capacity in Queer-friendly venues compared to the rest of the city, becoming quite a hot spot for the gay community in Bristol. Unfortunately, the majority of these places play host to pubs or clubs. This not appealing, or not being available, to everyone in such a wide age ranged community.

Queering space is a building located in Old Market, Bristol. The aims of the space is to assist in eradicating LGBTQ+ discrimination, and creating a safe space for people identified as part of this community.

This brief has been challenged by creating a variety of areas to the building. A museum space will publicise queer history, raising awareness of the tough past LGBTQ+ people have faced. An events space will be created to expose the talented people of the community, as well as a help space for people facing such discrimination.
