Young people have been hit hard with social isolation and loneliness during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nation was ordered to isolate within their homes and work from their laptops. Social connections were maintained, to an extent, over social networks and work-based meetings were made over Zoom. During the pandemic, social wellbeing was suppressed and when lockdowns were eased, stepping back into society was daunting for some. Hybrid working has stayed in place, for now, which has improved people’s work-life balance but also jeopardised the opportunity to build social connections through work. This project aims to create a space for young professional to socially integrate with other young professionals in Bristol. Social cohesion is encouraged within the project through group activities such as creative workshops, expressive studios, evening events and meeting spaces. Creating the social hub, centralises a social point in Bristol and brings together people that might share similar interest and core values, building meaningful relationships and revitalising social wellbeing post-covid.
